:request: Cotton Candy

Nova watched confused.The team has just gotten back from the carnival.Sprx and Otto were both fast asleep.Gibson was nodding and Chiro was playing his new video game.But Antauri was sitting in the corner.In his lotus position.Staring at his bag of cotton candy.The reason Nova was so confused is because the team had went to the carnival to celebrate Antauri's "re-birth" day.And when they asked him what he wanted,he answered cotton candy.Yet he had asked them to make sure it iwas the pink kind.Thats what Nova never got.Why did he only like the pink cotton candy?Why didn't he like any other kind.They all tasted the same to her.So,after deciding she was gonna get to the bottom of this,Nova made her way across the room to where the sterling simian was floating gently.

"Antauri?" Nova called.Said male looked up at her and smiled. "Yes,Nova?" he answered.Nova shifted slightly and decided it would be better to sit instead of stand.It made her feel...uncomfortably for unknown reasons.Once she was sat in front of Antauri she tried again. "I have a question for you." Nova said.Antauri raised his helmet brow. "Oh?And what would it be?" he answered,he still had a smile on his face.Nova pointed at the bag filled with sugery floss he was holding. "Why do you always get pink cotton candy?Why not blue or white or...something." Nova asked confused.Antauri chuckled. "Is something wrong with me liking the pink better than the other colors?" Antauri asked as he smiled wider.Nova was confused more than before now. "Well...no...not really.But you always ask for the pink kind...why?" Nova asked looking into his eyes again.Antauri sighed lightly. "Do you really wish to know Nova?" he asked.Nova nodded.Saying nothing Antauri pointed at the wall.Nova turned and looked at where he pointed.All it was showing was thier reflections. "What about it?" Nova asked looking back at the silver monkey.Antauri leaned closer to Nova's ear. "Look closer." he whispered.Nova's face was bright red now,but she looked again.

Once again she saw nothing but thier reflections.But suddenly something caught her attention.Her very own eyes.Big and bright pink.Cotton Candy Pink to be exact.Nova's blush only increased when she realized this.Looking back at Antauri,her eyes asked all the questions. "Beautiful aren't they?So sweet,and so soft.Just like cotton candy.Except...while I can have the sugar floss whenever I want...I cannot have the owner of those eyes.Thats why I perfer the pink kind.It reminds me of a woman I have very much fallen for." Antauri said softly.Nova stared at him wide-eyed. "You...I...wait...huh?" Nova manage to stutter out.Antauri simply chuckled again. "Hey guys!C'mon its bed time!" they heard Chiro call.He was busy attempting to get Otto to stand on his feet.Sprx and Gibson were dragging themselves towards the tubes.Antauri stood and helped the still confused Nova to her feet.

Nova blushed harder when Antauri placed his lips to her cheek. "Goodnight Nova." he mumbled lightly as he let her hand go and went to walk off.Nova stood for a moment for before her sense came back to her. "ANTAURI!" she called whirling around.Antauri stopped and looked back at her.Nova ran over to him and grabbed his hand again.It was Antauri's turn to blushed when Nova pressed her lips to his for a split second.Nova wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. "N-N-Nova?" Antauri stumbled out. "Lets go to the carnival again tomorrow...just the two of us...ok?" Nova whispered.Antauri nodded as he began to relax.Nova pulled back blushing again.Quickly she pressed her lips to the brow of his helmet before running off towards her tube.Antauri was left in the control room alone.Still holding his bag of candy floss.Smiling to himself,he wandered to his tube slowly.

He decided he'd save it for them to share tomorrow.
